Our brief was to rethink the practice’s visual identity and redesign both its commercial communication and internal materials. In our approach, the boundary between land and sea is understood not merely as a topographic line, but as a threshold between the natural and the manmade, the intuitive and the rational, the spiritual and the tactile. To articulate these dualities we drew on topographic representations of landscape, harnessing the visual strength of contour lines unfolding from elevation zero: the coastline itself.
