The first brand refresh since the label’s opening in 2007 has taken into account the existing identity that accompanied Inner Ear from being a local, one-person project to becoming the country’s household indie record company. The new identity marks the label’s opening to the digital realm while staying loyal to its audiophile roots, still offering physical formats — vinyl records, cds and cassettes — for most releases. A more abstract, inclusive and functional scheme has been established from the logo to microtypography to allow the brand to stand out from big print to tiny digital applications alike.
