The project, a collaboration between EELLAK and NTUA, transforms an existing building into a flexible industrial design lab supporting fabrication, education and collaboration. The main challenge is to accommodate conflicting uses such as noisy, heavy-duty workshops and quiet, clean workspaces within the same structure. Our solution introduces a lightweight, independent “toolbox” addition that reorganizes the space without intervening in the existing shell. This way we create clear zoning between functions and establish an adaptable spatial system following a modular grid.
