Workshops
In this two-day typography workshop led by type designer Vassilis Georgiou we were introduced to the history of typography and the type-design process.
During the first day we were briefly introduced to the history of typography and the different type models. We looked at examples of typography – from subtle typesetting choices to dramatic manipulations and discussed about the essential aspects of the type-design process.
After theory comes practice! On the second day we had some hands-on work and experimented with digital design process. Each one of us developed from paper to digital format a new typeface or manipulated an already existing one.
The workshop series is a series of creative workshops varying from paper making and lettering to collage, linocut printmaking, silkscreen printing and much more that we run at our office in a regular basis. Through these workshops we want to explore our creativity using more hands-on practices and develop processes for understanding, developing and supporting mutual learning between our team.
