MATI was established in Santorini, Greece in 1990 by artist Yorgos Kypris as an art gallery in Fira. Now MATI is reintroduced as an art observatory opening a new art space housed at a 1900 canava (traditional winery) in the village of Mesaria.

The MATI brand identity delves into the concept of an art observatory, using the eye — in reflection of the name itself — as an agent of observation. By incorporating eye movement strategies, we aim to engage the audience with MATI’s identity across all communication channels, mirroring the experience one would have in an art gallery.
